"The 80s-90s" honours rock's maturity and its evolution towards an open-minded eclecticism. This period, marked on the one hand by the appearance of the compact disc and by a revindication of rock roots on the other, would bring with it the consolidation of rock as a business, as well as a great stylistic refinement.
The collection features a wide variety of memorabilia from a brash period in which there was no place for self-consciousness; among the objects on display are wardrobe items and images of Michael Jackson, a bass signed by Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, original lyric sheets by Bruce Springsteen, a gold record of Stevie Ray Vaughan's and a guitar signed by Guns'N'Roses guitarist Slash.
