In the National Rock Room we find ourselves in closer, more familiar territory. A story that begins in the wake of Anglo-American rock but which, over the subsequent decades, would acquire an identity of its own, both for its language and the sounds of now-legendary groups like La Compañía Eléctrica Dharma, Los Sírex, Burning, Los Rebeldes and Sau.
This room calls up a host of glorious memories, from Sirex opening for the Beatles to some which are more recent, like the suit and straw hat of Pep Sala, guitarist and songwriter of the group Sau. Santiago Auserón, El Último de la Fila, Los Mustang, Miguel Ríos, Duncan Dhu, Loquillo, Lone Star, La Gran Aventura, Ramoncín and Jarabe de Palo are only some of the stars in a collection of images, instruments, promotional merchandise and wardrobe items that evokes five decades of Spanish rock.
